Government Affairs Committee defines and advocates the Chamber’s position on state and local government’s legislative, regulatory and policy matters in the interest of our members. This committee facilitates opportunities for members to have contact with their elected officials and informs and educates our members on issues that could potentially affect their interest.
The Ambassador Committee members serve as mentors to new members and assist in getting acclimated and involved with the Chamber, its programs and other members. Ambassadors invite members to events, meet and greet new members at Chamber functions. The Ambassadors also play a key role in retention efforts.
The Membership Committee develops an effective outreach program designed to educate local businesses on the Chambers’ programs and benefits.
A Special Events Committee is in place to coordinate large-scale Chamber events.
The Marketing Committee focuses on enhancing the image of the Chamber through strategic branding. The goal is to maximize its ability to communicate its message to the membership, community and government entities.
The Finance Committee provides oversight to MCC financial management and activities, review monthly financial activity, propose and monitor budget and advise the Board of Directors on financial matters.
